FAQs

What wheel sizes are available?

King forged offers wheel sizes from 20x10 up to 30x16. all the wheel sizes available are also listed next to our models in the collection section of the website.

What bolt patterns are available?

our wheels are available from 5 lug bolt patterns up to 8 lug bolt patterns. mostly all bolt patterns for trucks, suv’s, and jeep’s are compatible but not all patterns are created equal. therefore we ask for our customer’s specific bolt pattern and or the customer’s vehicle information to get the right bolt pattern.

What type of material are the wheels made of?

All king forged wheels are made from one piece forged aluminum 6061-t6. 6061-t6 is commonly used in the aircraft and aerospace industries, its combination of strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and toughness along with it also being light weight makes it an excellent metal to stand the test of time.

What is forging and why is it better?

the process of forging starts by heating a metal up to its near melting point (in our case aluminum) then pressing or hammering the metal down to a certain shape or size while it still maintains its solid structure. mostly all wheels found today in cars and trucks are not forged and are instead made of a cast metal. the process of casting starts by heating a metal up to its melting point for it to become a liquid state, then that metal is poured into a form and left to dry and take the shape of whatever form it was poured in. when it comes to forged vs cast, a forged wheel will generally be more expensive and a cast wheel cheaper but a forged wheel will have higher tensile strength, higher fatigue strength, higher yield strength, more consistency, a tighter grain structure and a much longer lifetime. while we realize that not all wheels on todays cars need to be forged, if you want the strongest and best quality wheels, they need to be forged.

What warranty do you offer?

All king forged wheels are backed by our lifetime structural warranty. if the wheel cracks or breaks due to a manufacturing defect at any time we will replace it, that simple. rock chips, scratches and curb rashes because you weren’t paying attention at the drive thru are not covered.

How long does an order usually take to finish and ship?

because king forged wheels are forged and custom there is a lot that goes into manufacturing them, our wait times are between 5-7 weeks. there are a lot of factors at play, some of which are out of our control such as trade and economics. When possible, customers may even receive their order much sooner than expected. other forging companies may take multiple months to fulfill orders while for us it is much sooner. we will be completely transparent with customers through out the entire process and answer any questions that may arise, our king quality not only encompasses our wheels but our service as well.
